The votes have been counted and six deserving
bowlers, two each from the GFBA, GFWBA and
GFYABA, will be inducted into their respective
hall of fames in ceremonies, Friday, May 12, at
the Eagles Lodge.
Fred Sadler and Jim Rothweiler have been
selected by the GFBA for induction. Both Sadler
and Rothweiler have been very active on the
local board, with Sadler managing this year's
state tournament and Rothweiler serving as a
past president.
The women will induct longtime secretary Betty
Peterson, for her meritorious service, and Doris
Kimmerle, a superior performer who earned her
place by rolling a 300 game this season.
The YABA hall will induct the late Glenn Rose,
who will add the junior honor to his membership
in both the Montana State ABC Bowling Hall of
Fame as well as the Great Falls Bowling
Association Hall of Fame. Rose's contributions
to the junior bowling program in Great Falls are
almost unmatched and his list of pupils reads
like a hall of fame.
Amanda Steffani, who just completed 11 years in
the YABA program, will also earn induction.
Steffani is a three-time State Pepsi Tournament
scratch champion and also was the 2001 State
Coke Tournament handicap champion. Her 726
series was a junior girls' state record at the
time. She also is a past winner of the Glenn
Rose Scholarship Tournament.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails,
followed by dinner at 7 and the ceremonies.
Tickets, which are $16, can be purchased at
Little's, Pin & Cue or the Elks or from any
board member.
Phone Pat Terry, 771-0147, for ticket
information.
It will again be my great honor to serve as the
evening's master of ceremonies.

· Billings' Dustin Tintinger holds down the
singles lead with a four-game total of 1,074 and
the Missoula team of Trifecta currently holds
the trio team lead with a 2,145 in the Electric
City Side Tournament, running in conjunction
with this year's state tournament at the Elks.
In fact, there were no changes in the top three
in each division.

· Many of the top prep bowlers in the state will
be taking part in this weekend's second annual
High School All-Comers Tournament, which will be
held Saturday at Missoula's revamped Westside
Lanes. The tourney, which is comprised of boys'
and girls' team trio events as well as a
singles' portion, gets under way at 2. The
singles' winners qualify for a trip to the
National's Masters Tournament in Orlando in
August.
It is my understanding there might be a few late
entries taken for the tournament. Phone MBPA
executive secretary Tom Brendgord, 870-0638, for
more information.

· Finally, Erik Onsager receives a mention for
converting the Big Four, the 4-6-7-10 split,
last Wednesday night in the Business House
