Led by Scott Rodger's tournament-high 758 series, Pub Crawlers turned in a whopping 3,560 total to capture the Division 1 team title as the 2009 GFUSBC Open Tournament wrapped Sunday at Little's and Elks Lanes.
Joining Rodger on the top squad was Don R. White, Loren Snider, Dale Sterrett and John Dixon.
The fivesome finished 55 pins better than the Crown Bar, who claimed second place.
In the individual events, Jody Bastas fired a 696 to win the open singles crown, while Guyla Streit's 772 with handicap won the Division 1 singles title.
The duo of Bob Orham and Mike Judd combined for a 1,258, which was good enough to win the Open doubles.
Scratch all event winners included Terry Pearsall, whose three series totaled 2,029, tops in Division 1. Tony Forster, with a 1,684, was the Division 2 winner and Dave Hoffman, with a 1,767, took Division 3 honors.
Larry Taylor was the handicap Division 1 all-events winner with a 2,179. Forster and Hoffman were also handicap winners in their respective divisions.
High game for the tourney was posted by Jay Schmidt, who strung the first 11-in-a-row ending up with a seven-count for a 297 game.
A total of 66 teams entered this year's event, which was held at Little's. The doubles drew 111 pairs and there were 222 singles' entries. Doubles and singles were held at the Elks.

Rez Dudes, made up of Elmer Blackbird, Davis Longknife, Tim Anthony, Ival Jackson and Ozzie Snow, are the leaders after the first week of the Budweiser Handicap, being held at Lewistown's Snowy Lanes.
The fivesome, out of Harlem, Billings and Lewistown, registered a 3,292, 14 sticks ahead of Harlem's Kennedy's Bar, who had a 3,278.
In the singles, a name familiar to being in the top spot of the annual tourney, leads the field. Ival Jackson's six-game 1,580 was the best score shot the first week.
The tourney, with an estimated prize fund of $8,000, continues four more weekends. For more information phoned Rex Coleman, at 535-3473.
A couple of reminders, the GFUSBC Junior City Bowling Championships will be held this weekend at the Elks.
According to tourney director Barb Lankford entries will be taken up until the final shift starts on Sunday, if there is room.
Shift times are 11 a.m., 2 and 6 p.m. on Saturday; 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Also, the GFUSBC Ladies Championships will be held Feb. 14-15, 21-22, also at the Elks.
The tourney features a four-person team, doubles and singles.
Entry forms for both tournaments are available at all lanes and can be downloaded at greatfallsbowling.com
The recent cold snap didn't do anything to cool off the scores around town as 700 series came at fast and furious pace.
Randy Guill earned men's honors last week after posting a nice 747 series, on games of 268 and 264, in the Monday 535 League at Pin & Cue.
For good measure, Guill added a 258 game for a 1,005 four-game set.
Its been a while since a woman topped the 700 mark. Guyla Streit broke the streak with a 701 series in Little's MixMasters, Streit's series, which had games of 246 and 258, was high for the women.
Leading the women on the westside was Terri Nall, who rolled games of 227 and 222 on her way to a 645 series in the Monday 535.
Bernie Dickman was high for the men at Little's with a 728 set in the Tuesday Mixed. Dickman's series was highlighted by a 279 game.
I couldn't get by without mentioning Dan Wilkerson's 252 game and 711 series in the Thursday Mixed, also at Little's.
Donnie White led the way at the Elks. White, in the Tuesday Men, fired a 253 game and a 710 series. White just edged Dave Kiel, who had a 709 in the Bull Elks.
Lauretta Gifford's 220 game earned women's honors downtown.
